Aquamarine

Ok so once again I am reding a book about a mermaid. I don't know what it is all the books I read are about mermaids recently! But This book is called Aquamarine and it is about these two girls that live at the beach and they hand out at a place called the capri; the capri is going to close down soon though. The girl's names are Hailey and Claire. Claire lives with her grandparents because her parents both died because they were drowned. Claire is more shy and is terrified of water becuase of what happened to her parents. Hailey on the other hand is outgoing and loves the water. Hailey lives with just her mom because her dad and mom got a divorce.
Claire is soon moving to Flordia with her grandparents at the end of Agust so the girls try to make the best of the rest of their time together. One night there was a horrible storm that hit the capri and all the stuff from the ocean was scattered everywhere. Now before I get too in detail you have to know that the capri was once a summer hot spot but as the years went on the capri got worse and worse. Now the capri is going to close down. So back to what I was saying the storm made to capri look terrible. But, one day after the storm the girls found that in the water that the ocean had poured was a mermaid!!

New Book

So I think I have found a new book to read! It is called The Tail of Emily Windsnap. It is about a girl that discovers she is a mermaid and never new it until she was in here teens. She also finds out that her father is the king of all the seas. Her mother and father were in love and got married before Emily (btw, that is the main character's name) was born. But then discovered it would never work out and so they split up for years. Emily had never been in water; not including showers, and then when she went to swimming lessons she felt her legs beginning to get tight and all of a sudden she forms a tail. Emily and her mom live in a boat near the ocean in a small town so Emily has the freedom to go in the water at any time. So after she experiences the tail incident, she finds herself swimming out into the ocean one night. She meets another mermaid and they become friends. She shows Emily around and Emily goes through a long journey to finally meet her father.
I picked this book because I like that it is filled with adventure and suspense.
I also picked it becuase I have the same first name as the main charcter; Emily! HAHA

Another Sandollar Summer update

So I am finished with the book but I will tell you how most of it goes. Lise and Free are in school and their mother never comes to pick them so they get a ride home and their neighbor comes to watch them. Hours later they get a call saying their mother was in a serious car accident and she is all beat up. So their mom stays in the hospital for about 2 weeks and then comes home. But she still is in bad condition. But Then while they are eating dinner one night their mom all of a sudden says "we are going on vacation to fiddle beach in Maine!!" Lise and Free are shocked!! So they pack up the taxi (BTW the taxi driver has helped them throught the time their mom was in the hospital, and now is a helpful family friend) they drive up to Maine with lots of luggage because they are staying the entire summer and they also have their dog Babe ith them in the car so it is a tight ride up!! When they arrive they find that their house isn't a nice luxury becach resort. It is a old beach shack!!
:( Well that is all for today!! But there will be more!!
Hopefully it will get better for them!!

Sandollar Summer

I am reading mine own book now Called Sandollar Summer like I have said in one of my previous posts. I have read this book before and tohught I would read it again. I really like it because throughout the book there is a lot of suspence and a lot of suspence toward the ending. The characters in the story are: Lise: the main character girl that doesn't want to move, because she likes her life where she is, The mom: She got in a car accident and changed a lot because she wanted to move to a sort of "Dumpy Place") on the beach, Micheal: A man that used to go out with the mom and then they went there seperate ways and found eachother again when they move to the beach; he helps the famiy while they live on the beach by fixing the "shack" and trying to convince the kids that it is not so bad when you have fun things to do, Free: Lise's little brother who tries to make the best of things and is silent.

New Book

So We have gone onto another book. I am reading a novel called "Sandollar Summer". We got to pick our own book this time, so I decided to choose something I would enjoy! I have read this novel before and I enjoyed it greatly. A short summary for this book is: After a girl's mother gets in a serious car accident, her life gets turned upside down when they move to a beat up old shack on a beach in maine. That was where her mother lived when she was young and so they moved back over the summer! The first thing that goes wrong this is the girl's first experience with the ocean. She is terrified and refuses to go into it until one stormy night...
She has a brother and makes a couple friends at the beach but she misses her old life and friends! This book is very suspenseful!!
I won't say anymore for now but as I read through the story you will see what will happen when this girl's small world is greatly changed.

Black Ships Before Troy coming to an end!

We are now done with The Book Blackships Before troy!! So in the ending pretty much turned out like I had thought. There are many people that die like Hector, Achilles, Patroclus, and Ajax just to name a few. Achilles died because he got stabbed in the one place that would kill him; his ankle. Ajax died painfully. He was raged in anger when he figured out that Odysseus was greater than him. So he stompted out and had much anger and just wanted to kill someone or something so he marched foward killing many sheep. Then there was just so much anger in him ran forward and fell to his sword, and that was the end of him! So this book did not have the bst ending. But it was interesting and I can't wait to read the next book we will read!!

Another Blackships B4 Troy update

Ok so, there is still a war going on! And the greeks are still getting rained on by red rain while the trojans are safe on high clear land. But it even gets worse when the greeks and trojans decide to fight some more. The high-king of the Greeks Agamemnon, put on his amor and they began to fight (the greeks and trojans). The trojans came rushing down when they heard the war and the greeks and trojans clashed into eachother with great force. Then agamemnon got a big spear gash in his arm and had to be driven in a chariot back to safty beacuse it bled some much!
I have one thing to say... There is not much hapiness in this book so far!!

Blackships B4 Troy

Ok so we are still reading Blackships before troy. I just finished a chapter called Red Rain. And it is pretty graphic!! There are all these people dying in the greek and tojan war! There was dark skies over the greek campand Zeus begings to create a mighty storm! Big Black clouds begin to appear and rain starts coming down. The weird thing is, the rain is as red as blood! While the big red rain is going on over the Greek camp, the trojans are on higher gorund and the sky is clear and there is much light for them. Now the greeks know there is something going on that is different and creepy!!
Thats all for this post!! I am still confused but I am understanding a little bit better!!

Blackships Before Troy

Ok so in Blackships before Troy there are characters based on greek gods and goddesses. The Greeks and titans are in a war. The Greeks try and sneak to see the titans plan of action to attack the Greeks. I don't quite understand it because it is very confusing with all the different characters!!

In class like I said we are reading this book called "Blackships Before Troy." There is many different characters in this story. Most of the characters are based on Greek gods and goddeses. Like Aphrodite, odysseus, agamnenon.

Today's school news

Ok so today in school we started reading our book "Blackships Before Troy" and mainly we are being introduced to the characters and this book has greek gods and godesses like aphrodite and odesseus!! So I will keep updating while I read more into this book!!
